How it works

From code to finish.

Flow, game roles, Nauti, the adult guide and rewards — everything you want to know before you start.

The game principle

10 stations. 10 puzzles. 1 goal.

GPS guides you from station to station. At every location a puzzle is waiting — and a letter. Together they form the solution word.

Before you head out

Five minutes of setup.

Create your crew

After entering your code, you give your crew a name — that's who you'll be throughout the story.

Choose avatars

Everyone picks an avatar — a historical figure of the route. Who you are shapes what Nauti tells you.

Hand out roles

The navigator leads, the chronicler documents, everyone else is a Naut — roles rotate along the way.

Confirm the codex

A few shared rules, each tapped once — then the time gate opens.

At every station

What a station looks like.

Scan for traces

Look closely on site: a detail at the location solves the puzzle — and earns you a letter of the solution word.

Team vote

Thumbs up or down: the crew votes, the majority decides, and the story continues accordingly.

Logbook entry

Note down what you decided and why — at the end it becomes your logbook.

Time proof

The chronicler takes a crew photo — all ten together become your collage at the end.

Extra traces

Dig deeper and find more: deep traces earn extra stardust for your crew rank.

Nauti — euer Kiez-Guide

Nauti leads you. Every role has a mission.

Hi, I'm Nauti, your Kiez guide. There's a glitch in the Zeitmatrix — and I can't crack it without you. I'll give hints; you find the answers yourselves."

Nauti never gives away the answer — only nudges. Kids solve everything themselves.

Navigator

Leads the team to the next station. Holds the tablet, sets the pace.

Rotates

Chronicler

Reads out the station text, leads the team vote, takes the station photo.

Rotates

Naut

Reads clues, solves puzzles, contributes to team decisions. The mission's beating heart.

Everyone joins in

Roles rotate at every station — everyone takes a turn as Navigator, Chronicler and Naut.

Rewards and ranks

What the crew takes home.

Finds in the Zeitmatrix

At every station the kids unlock a historical document from the Kiez and collect it in the Zeitmatrix. By the end they have ten of them.

Stardust and crew ranks

Team decisions, logbook entries and deep scans earn stardust. The crew climbs the ranks: from Junior Localnauts through Crew and Pilots to Legends.

At the end

When they finish, the crew gets a photo collage, their logbook and a crew certificate. And maybe an actual chest is waiting at the finish — that part is up to you.
