You receive a game code. It stays valid until you activate it — no time pressure.
Quickly set up your crew (names, avatars, roles), then the app guides you to the first station. You set the pace, pause anytime — all in the browser.
Ready to go & safe on the way.
Companion guide: if you want the details
The game setup explains everything you need — you can simply start, no prep required. If you'd like to know exactly how a station works, or you're planning a group, the companion guide has the schedule, role cards, timing options and reflection questions. You do the game setup (crew, avatars, roles, codex) calmly on site — the app guides you to the first station, where the game begins.
Safety is built in
At the start the crew confirms a short codex: stay on the pavements, stay together, use traffic lights and crossings, watch the traffic. The accompanying adult has the final word in traffic — safety always comes before the game.
Device, access & sound
A smartphone or tablet with a camera is all you need — the phone locates most reliably via GPS, the tablet has the bigger screen. In the browser, allow location, camera and microphone, and turn the sound on for Nauti. Your photos stay on your device.

After entering your game code, you give your crew a name — that's who you'll be throughout the story.
Everyone picks an avatar — a historical figure of the route. Who you are shapes what Nauti tells you.
The navigator leads, the chronicler documents, everyone else is a Naut — roles rotate along the way.
A few shared rules on safety, respect and fair decisions — each tapped once, then the time gate opens.
10 stations. 10 puzzles. 1 goal.
GPS guides you from station to station. The stations build on each other — station by station, Rixdorf 1737 becomes one whole story, and the letters together form the solution word.

The phone shows the way to the next station — just set off.
A map shows your position and the next point. It works most reliably on a smartphone — GPS is built in. Tablets often have no GPS and need constant WiFi; so for navigating, bring one phone per team, with internet and a camera.
What a station looks like.
Look closely on site and scan a detail with a photo — that brings you closer to the puzzle.
Solve the station's puzzle and secure a letter of the solution word.
A thumbs team vote, a short logbook entry and a crew photo — these become your logbook and collage at the end.
Optional digging deeper: the deep scan and the chronicle earn extra stardust for your crew rank.

Nauti leads you. Every role has a mission.
„Hi, I'm Nauti, your Kiez guide. There's a glitch in the Zeitmatrix — and I can't crack it without you. I'll give hints; you find the answers yourselves."
ℹ Nauti never gives away the answer — only nudges. Kids solve everything themselves.
Navigator
Leads the team to the next station. Holds the device, sets the pace.
Chronicler
Reads out the station text, leads the team vote, takes the station photo.
Naut
Reads clues, solves puzzles, contributes to team decisions. The mission's beating heart.
ℹ Roles rotate at every station — everyone takes a turn as Navigator, Chronicler and Naut.
What the crew takes home.

Finds in the Zeitmatrix
At every station the kids unlock a historical document from the Kiez and collect it in the Zeitmatrix. By the end they have ten of them.
Stardust and crew ranks
Voluntary deep-dives — reading the chronicle, logbook entries, deep scans and the extra orbit — earn stardust. The crew climbs the ranks: from Junior Localnauts through Crew and Pilots to Legends.
At the end
When they finish, the crew gets a crew collage, their crew logbook and an orbit diploma. And maybe an actual chest is waiting at the finish — that part is up to you.
